Biker dies in crash on A82 beside Loch Lomond 

A motorcyclist has died after an accident on the A82 beside Loch Lomond this afternoon.

Police Scotland is appealing for information after the fatal crash north of Luss.
After a collision at around 12.15 the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.

Two male passengers in the car, aged 31 and 32 years were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where they are being treated for their injuries. No one else was injured.

The road was closed for several hours to allow for a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash but was open again by 5.30; in the meantime long tailbacks built up on the A82 towards Dumbarton.

Constable Hugh Niccolls from the Road Policing Unit, based at Dumbarton, said: “There were other cars driving on the A82 around the time of this incident and it is important we speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or has information that will assist our investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at the Road Policing Unit based at Dumbarton through 101.”
