Residents in Whistlefield have been forced to leave their homes as firefighters from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service battle a huge wild fire.
After several dry days and in strong wind, the blaze took hold on moorland above Loch Long this afternoon; residents were evacuated and the train service on the West Highland Line has been suspended.
At 9pm residents had been allowed to return to their homes, but several fire crews were still tackling the blaze, assisted by a helicopter.
