News in brief: College courses in Helensburgh, vets on the move, homes plan

The Tower Digital Arts Centre in Helensburgh has announced a partnership with the University of the Highland & Islands and Argyll College.

The first two courses taught in Helensburgh will be National Progression Awards (NPAs) in Dance and Professional Theatre Preparation.

A family vets practice in Helensburgh is looking to move to larger premises in the town.

Parklea Veterinary Surgery, currently based on East King Street, has applied for planning permission to convert a bungalow in Adelaide Street.

An application has been submitted to renew planning permission for three houses at a site east of Laburnum Cottage on Barbour Road, Kilcreggan.

Permission in principle was granted to J Auld in 2012.

Information on both applications is available on Argyll and Bute Council’s website – the reference numbers are 15/03222/PP for Helensburgh and 16/00579/PP for Barbour Road.
