The Rosneath Peninsula and Helensburgh will feature on TV this week with the screening of the Antiques Road Trip’s latest tour of Scotland.

Expert Paul Laidlaw called at Kilcreggan Antiques in September, haggling in jocular fashion with proprietor Arusha Irvine while a striking yellow Morris Minor was parked outside.

The episode which will be shown on BBC1 at 4.30pm this Thursday (January 7) will also feature Paul’s rival presenter Catherine Southon visiting a site in Helensburgh which has not been disclosed but is thought to be the Hill House.

Commuters returning to work tomorrow will find that rail fares have increased across the Scotrail network.

The latest annual increase adds another digit to the price of a peak return from Helensburgh Central to Glasgow, which is now £10.00.

A peak return from Gourock to Glasgow is £11.20.
