New-look information panels have been installed at locations including Kilcreggan

A new Facebook page has been launched to promote the Clyde Sea Lochs Trail.

Volunteers from tourism group Love Loch Lomond, who refurbished the information panels along the route earlier this year, have created the page.

“It’s all about getting more people to know of and appreciate what is on offer along the route between Dumbarton and Arrochar and including the Rosneath Peninsula,” said a spokesperson.

“Please help publicise the trail by sharing, posting and liking this page.

“We aim to focus on the attractions, people and places which make this an interesting area for both visitors and locals to discover.”

Meanwhile, tickets have gone on sale for Helensburgh’s 22nd Hogmanay Ceilidh in the Victoria Halls.

This year all the usual ingredients will make for a great way to welcome the New Year – Voicebox Ceilidh Band, bar and buffet, a friendly atmosphere and Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipeband at midnight.

Helensburgh and District Access Trust is organizing the event to raise funds to build and repair footpaths in the area including the Three Lochs Way.

A superb charity raffle will this year help the charity Parkinson’s UK – last year’s raffle raised £750 -and tickets are expected to sell fast, costing £40 for adults, children under 12 £25

They are available from Anne Urquhart on 01436 674922.
