New plans have been submitted for housing at a nature conservation site in Kilcreggan.
Frank Phipps has applied for permission to build six homes north of West Shore Cottage on Fort Road, where three years ago a plan for 20 houses was submitted to Argyll and Bute Council.
That application is still classed as ‘pending’ after there were 30 objections and four people made comments in support.
The ‘Kilcreggan Woodlands and Raised Beach’ area is classed as a ‘site of importance for nature conservation’.
The latest application can be viewed on the council website – the reference number is 15/01054/PP.
In Helensburgh town centre, plans have been revealed to demolish a Chinese restaurant and replace it with seven flats.
Currently the first two floors of the East Clyde Street building are a restaurant, with nine flats on the top floor.
A supporting statement from architects Pure Green Space states: “The existing building does not add a great deal to the seafront and replacing it is an opportunity to tie into the proportions of the adjacent tenement.”
The reference number for this plan is 15/01234/PP.
