Road rage incident on Rest and Be Thankful road

Police are investigating a road rage and dangerous driving incident on the A82 and A83 yesterday.

One person was injured in a chain of incidents on the trunk roads

Police Scotland have asked for witnesses and are trying to trace the driver of a dark-coloured Audi A3 car that was travelling north on the A82 via A83 through Tarbet, Arrochar and the Rest and Be thankful towards Dunoon or Inveraray between 2.30 and 3pm yesterday.

The driver is alleged to have carried out dangerous overtakes in the Arrochar area and to have been driving aggressively in general.

Police also say the driver was involved in a road rage incident where an item was thrown at another vehicle resulting in that vehicle losing control causing a collision. One person was admitted to hospital with injuries.

The vehicle is described as dark grey Audi A3 with tinted windows, a partial registration similar to ‘SJ63, and a blonde-haired female passenger.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gareth Sims T546 at Dunoon Police Station via 101 or via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
