MP Brendan O’Hara joined Helensburgh Garelochside Rotary Club on the Sandwich Board Walk on Saturday to promote local businesses.
For £40, businesses could sponsor a board for the day and be advertised on the rotary club website for one year.
Starting at Colquhoun Square, the sandwich board marchers marched down Sinclair Street, along the sea front and ended back in Colquhoun Square.
Mr O’Hara said at the event: “What a terrific and novel idea to advertise local businesses in Helensburgh.
“The town can be rightly proud of the number and diversity of businesses it has and I am delighted to support this event.
“My congratulations to all the rotary club members who took part in such good spirit and my thanks to John Macpherson, president, for inviting me and for the warm welcome I received.”
All funds raised from the event will be used to support local organisations and charities.
