New post of family worker created by churches

A family worker is being appointed for the first time by the Church of Scotland to lead outreach work in the Rosneath Peninsula and Garelochhead.

Someone with ‘sensitivity, imagination, humour and infinite patience’ is being sought for the new role in the parishes of Craigrownie, Garelochhead and Rosneath St Modan’s.

Rev Christine Murdoch said: “This new opportunity has come about following the linkage of the three parishes.

“It’s a very exciting time for these churches and this will be an important appointment as we seek to support families across the area.”

The job will be based in various locations across the area, including a new space at Craigrownie church, Centre 81 in Garelochhead , schools and church halls.
