Village targeted again by fly-tippers

flytipping

Picture postcard snow has started to melt in Kilcreggan – revealing mattresses dumped by fly-tippers on Argyll Road.

The rubbish was spotted by Mike McLean, who said: “I just couldn’t believe it, it’s not as if it’s a remote spot even, it’s right outside houses.

“It doesn’t make sense to me. If they’re local then why do it on your own patch, if they’re from elsewhere why not just go to the tip? It makes no sense.”

Fly-tippers targeted the car park at the forest walk off Barbour Road last November, and the Peaton Hill nature reserve in October 2013.

Environment agency SEPA ask the public to report fly-tipping via the Dumb Dumpers website 08452 304090.
