Roadworks scheduled for Cove have been delayed because of heavy rain.
Resurfacing of the B833 Shore Road was due to start at the beginning of this month, after work on the approach to Clynder was completed.
But a spokesperson for Argyll and Bute Council said: “Due to the severe weather on the week in question, these works have been delayed until the turn of the year.”
The Rosneath Peninsula was spared the worst of last week’s torrential rain, which saw the A83 Rest and Be Thankful, B8073 and B8035 on Mull, A846 on Jura, A816 at Lochgilphead , A83 at Campbeltown all closed by flooding or landslides.
Ferry services from Kilcreggan were suspended this morning (Friday November 14) and last night – the last four weeks have seen sailings disrupted on nine days by wind, high waves and ‘essential maintenance’.
A Met Office yellow warning of rain is in place until 3pm today, but there is expected to be some respite with dry weather tomorrow (Saturday).
