Authors including Janice Galloway, Sally Magnusson, Kirsty Wark and James Robertson will feature in the first book festival to be held on the Rosneath Peninsula.
The Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival is planned for November 29 and 30 as part of Book Week Scotland.
A host of top authors have already been confirmed for the events at Cove Burgh Hall – only a mile from Knockderry Castle, where Andrew Carnegie made his historic offer of funding for libraries in 1901.
The festival will also tell the story of the Great Scottish Tapestry and have special Sunday morning events for children. More details will be announced nearer to the time.
Other events at the community-run burgh hall include Songs, a soup and a sandwich on October 26 with baritone Euros Campbell and soprano Hazel McBain, including solo pieces from pianist Liivi Arder.
Dixieland quartet Quattro MacJazz will be performing on Saturday October 18, and next Saturday (October 11) John Findlay will be returning for another dance night.
Ticketing and other information for all events is available at the hall website, www.coveburghhall.org.uk
