A highlight of the local year is drawing near for local gardeners and bakers, with the RNLI flower show at Cove Burgh Hall.
And there will soon be weekly Tai Chi classes at the hall, with the first one a free taster session.
There will be the usual wide range of entries at the flower show on Saturday August 16, with 48 classes covering flowers, baking, jam and jellies, vegetables and a children’s section.
Stalls and a tea room will also help to raise funds for the charity – entry is by donation, with doors opening for viewing at 1.45pm and the prize giving at 2.30.
One entry per person is allowed in every class – doors will open at 10am and entries need to be in place by 11.30.
The Tai Chi classes will start at Cove Burgh Hall on September 5, running every Friday from 12 noon until 1pm,on Fridays
Classes will be donation-based, with the first class a free taster.
