A derelict former petrol station site in Helensburgh could be given a new lease of life.
The former Consort service station in East Clyde Street has stood empty since it closed down several years ago.
But now plans have been lodged for car sales on the site, with the building being extended to include a new waiting room, office and valeting and tyre bays.
Architects Puregreenspace say part of the main canopy has had to be dismantled for structural reasons and the buildings have become overrun by pigeons.
The site has been decontaminated and underground fuel tanks removed.
The application for change of use would see most of the existing structure to be repainted and smartened up, as well as internal alterations and an extension to include a new office.
Applicants Autopoint own the garage in Garelochhead which recently installed petrol and diesel pumps for the public they’re now looking to expand their operations into Helensburgh, selling high end cars.
