Community groups are being urged to apply for funding from Argyll and Bute Council.
This year a total of 120 organisations benefited from the council’s Third Sector Grants programme.
The £35,000 grant funding made available to the Helensburgh and Lomond area supported 29 groups and organisations including Friends of Duchess Wood, new drama group Peninsula Players, Rosneath Peninsula Highland Gathering, Rhu and Shandon Seniors Club, Gibson Community Centre and Helensburgh Amateur Athletic Club.
Katrine Wreford, of Rosneath Peninsula Highland Gathering Committee, said: “The day proved a great success and we were proud to welcome competitors and visitors from around the world.
“Without the grant support provided, it is unlikely we would be able to hold the Gathering.”
Applicants for 2014 should note that the closing date for the return of completed application forms for a decision in April is Monday February 3.
The council is particularly keen to encourage new groups with fresh ideas and those that support vulnerable people, although funding is subject to the council’s budget decisions in February 2014.
Applications are considered twice a year at area committee meetings in April and August.
