Artist Ross Sinclair has won a Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland award for his project which saw Edinburgh flooded with more than 45,000 works of art.
Ross, who lives in Kilcreggan, was among the winners at last night’s ceremony in Edinburgh’s Prestonfield hotel which saw Andy Murray named Top Scot of 2013.
Other winners included actress Kate Dickie, who featured in Filth and Red Road, wildlife cameraman Gordon Buchanan, whose alarmingly close encounter with a polar bear was one of the TV highlights of the year, and chef Tony Singh, of The Incredible Spice Men.
Ross Sinclair’s project in the capital included billboards, posters, badges and vinyl record featuring writers, pop stars, footballers and painters.
He also teaches at Glasgow School of Art and is a musician as well as an artist; more information is available on his website.
