Coffee and quizzing at burgh hall

Rosneath Peninsula Amenity Society is holding a coffee morning in Cove Burgh Hall this Friday (October 25) from 10am to 12noon.

Money raised will help to pay for the eradication of Japanese knotweed, which has been plaguing the shorelines in the area for many years.

It will also go towards updating stock at Cove library, run by local volunteers since it was closed down by Argyll and Bute Council in 2010.

Funds raised will also help pay for computers and general library expenses.

Local crafts and produce will be on sale as well as Phoenix cards and stationery.

The next day (Saturday October 26) sees one of the ever-popular biannual quiz nights.

Teams of up to six people can enter persons – teams can be easily made up on the night.  Doors open at 7:30 for an 8pm start.

Admission is £3 per person, with all funds raised going towards Cove Burgh Hall, which is also run by volunteers after closed by the council.

Bring your own bottle and snacks.
