The final countdown has begun until the official opening of Waitrose Helensburgh at 8am on Thursday October 24.
With just over a week to go, the finishing touches are being put to the new store.
This will be the retailers’ sixth branch to open in Scotland; it has created 200 new jobs.
Brian Murrie, branch manager, said: “After much anticipation, it’s the final week to go until we open our doors.
“Over the past two months, we’ve been working hard to complete Partner training and organising suppliers.
“Now, we can’t wait to finally welcome customers and local residents, many of whom have shown great support and watched the site transform into the new store over the past year.”
Waitrose Helensburgh will have dedicated fish, cheese, meat and bakery counters with a range of freshly prepared products on offer.
Customers will also be able to enjoy the Entertaining catering service and free glass hire, as well as shop online and have shopping delivered straight to their front door
The store will be open from 8am to 9pm from Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm on Saturdays and 9am to 8pm on Sundays.
Waitrose has five other Scottish branches – two in Edinburgh, Glasgow (Byres Road), Newton Mearns and Stirling.
Waitrose Milngavie was granted planning permission in early 2013 and is expected to open in 2015.
