Repairs on the A817 Haul Road through Glen Fruin have been completed ahead of schedule.
Argyll and Bute Council confirmed today (September 4) that work near Ballevoulin Bridge is complete and the road has been reopened.
A spokesperson said: “The council would like to thank motorists and members of the public for their co-operation during the works.”
The road closure started on August 5 and as due to last five weeks, with a £77,000 contract awarded to Diack and Macaulay to replace the existing bridge waterproofing and surfacing.
There were long queues on the A814 through Rhu and Shandon during the closure, as the spectacular road from Loch Lomond to Garelochhead is a popular route for commuters to Faslane and Coulport.
