Recent events have raised over £850 for Cove Burgh Hall, which is now gearing up for Christmas.
A closely-fought quiz raised £281.60, while the dance night with John Findlay brought in £136 for the hall, run by the community since being bought from Argyll and Bute Council for £1 ten years ago.
And Scottish country dancers who use the hall donated £435 thanks partly to a raffle, with the prize being a painting by Jim Murdoch.
Events this month include the film society’s screening of A Christmas Story, the 1983 festive classic starring Peter Billingsley and directed by Bob Clark, on December 13 at 7.30pm.
Cove and Kilcreggan Literary Society will hold its Christmas party of December 10 at 8pm, while there will be a chance to pick up some festive gifts at Craigrownie Guild’s Christmas sale at 2pm on the 8th – it is in aid of the Julius Project to help the homeless.
A Christmas cabaret will be staged on the evening of December 22, while the Hogmanay ball – the highlight of the year for many locals – will start at 6.30pm on, yes, December 31.
