The public have only a few days left to have their say on the future of Helensburgh’s pier.
Shops, a swimming pool and leisure facility and a skatepark are all part of Argyll and Bute Council’s masterplan for the area, as well as work to address flooding problems.
Revisions to the plan were announced in August, and the deadline for the public to comment is 5pm on Monday October 1.
A total of 1,200 people took part in an earlier consultation which ended in January. To comment on the masterplan go to the council’s website here.
Meanwhile, the council is planning to make it easier for canoeists to use the pier.
The Lochgilphead-based authority’s latest weekly planning list includes an application from the council itself for a storage rack for kayaks and canoes, a signage board and non-slip protective matting.
