An acclaimed play and a Rod Stewart tribute act are the last live entertainments scheduled for Cove Burgh Hall.
Splinters Productionswill stage The Matchmaker this Saturday (September 29) at 8pm – a new adaptation of J.B. Keane’s classic, riotous story of Dick Mick Dicky O’Connor who is determined to hook up a hotch-potch of lonely hearts in his rural town of Ballybarra.
John Shedden, Anna Hepburn and Finlay McLean star in a production described by the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Review as ‘a wonderful piece of theatre which will warm the cockles of your heart.
And the following Saturday Bob Wyper, firmly established as a top performer in the ‘tribute world’ brings an energetic and colourful solo performance of Rod Stewart’s songs selected from over the years – along with a modern PA system, sensational lighting, amazing costumes and professionally edited backing tracks .
Tickets for both events are £10 if booked online at www.coveburghhall.org.uk and Cove and Kilcreggan post offices, or £12 on the night.
There is a licensed bar for The Matchmaker, while the tribute night is BYOB. For more information, contact Richard 01436 842177.
