The first Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival was a great success – and now it could become an annual event.

Hundreds of people came to Cove Burgh Hall to hear the all-star line-up, with book sales totalling more than £1,000.

Burgh hall events team leader Rona Grierson said: “I am really delighted at the turnout for the first ever CBH Book Festival.

“The events team and many other volunteers all played a huge part in ensuring it was a great success and feedback from the authors and audience has been really positive. If everyone is keen we will look to make it the first of many book festivals.”

Visiting authors including James Robertson, Kirsty Wark , Janice Galloway, Sally Magnusson and Lari Don were joined on the hall stage by Cove’s Ian Nicolson and Kicreggan journalist Ruth Wishart.
